In 1981 Allan Lind began an apprenticeship with a large Electrical contracting firm in Dunedin. He gained wiring and control systems knowhow on large industrial sites, including wool scours, meat and fish processing plants, hospitals and factories.
Gaining a qualification in Industrial Instrumentation in 1985, Lind worked in Petrochemical and Steel plant commissioning. Lind joined an enthusiastic team of Energy Management consultants exploring ways to save energy costs for large consumers, such as hotels, flour mills, and foundries.
From 1988 – 2013 Lind lived in Tokyo, Japan founding a successful IT consulting company Joho Technology, specializing in office setups and relocations for multinational companies in the Japan market.
Lind Electric was established in Auckland in 2015, with the intention of bringing industrial class electrical expertise to the domestic and light commercial space.
